car wont idle first thing in the morning

i have a 94 cobra, it runs great most of the time, but if it has been sitting all night or sometimes, if i drive it to work and let it sit for a few hours and it cools off, it will not idle at all. what is the deal? it idles fine once the temp comes up. i have replaced the ect, act, i dont know what else to check or replace.

i haven't replaced my ect/act but i did clean my IAC and the throttle body. my car bogs and sometimes stalls out when i turn on A/C, and it bogs sometimes just when i'm sitting there and i turn the steering wheel. sorry this doesn't help 347lxvert, but i have similar probs.

Mine would do that last year in the fall, it would start fine, then the idle would get lower and lower and I'd have to give it gas to keep it from stalling, plus it would bogg on acceleration at every intersection. But then it would run normally after about 3 or 4 minutes of driving. A new ECT solved this issue for me.

i have cleaned the iac and replaced the ect already, it just started doing this a couple of weeks ago, someone locally said there car (not a mustang) had a pinhole in the filler neck of their gas tank and he had to replace that. it sounded kind of strange to me, but i thought i would see if anyone else had the same problems. the weird thing is that it runs fine after it reaches normal operating temp.

Mine does the same thing in the morning or if it hasnt been driven in awhile on a cold day.

mine bogs with the a/c and on hot days it will just die at idle and sometimes almost stalls out when i come to a stop and turn the wheel...whats the deal is it the intake temp sensor? i've cleaned it but some people say that it will go out and not just be dirty, i changed the ect a couple of years ago with a for unit so i dont know if thats the problem.

The first ECT I bought form Napa lasted 8 months. I just replaced it again recently because I noticed the fan wasn't coming on. They warrantied it, which was good. Ford wanted $72 for it. That was hilarious.

That's still the IAC. It compensates for the load of the AC. Yours is not cutting it.

Good luck.

Do ya have longtubes by chance?

With the weather starting to change, my O2s just started getting cold first thing in the morning - it jumps to closed loop and then the idle is a bit rough - my fix is to force open loop at idle... gotta have a twEECer or other tuner to do this.
