So you're opening your own Classic Mustang junk yard? From the looks of that Sprint, you'll probably need another, less structurally challenged, 72 as a base to build on.

If you have a place to store the 72 and have the money then get it and weight a couple of years until parts are repoped it. I would get the coupes now anyway and fix them both up as parts are easy to come buy so IMHO the parts car should be a thing of the past dont killem fix em or give them to someone else..

Im getting the coupes for sure, but the 72 Im not sure yet. dont really like the body style. The 67 has power steering on it and i plan to put it on my 66. The guy that has the 67 & 68 also has a 65 & 66 that he is fixing up..He lives down the road from me.

Never buy a car that you don't really want when you are done restoring it. That thing will cost more than it is worth to bring back to life. The sprint was just a trim package, and while valued by some, I don't think it is rare enough or desirable enough to save the car for the sake of it.

That 72's worth no more thatn 500 bucks were I'm from....I've never seen a sprint thats in good condition for sale, it's sad. A new hood for that car is probably more than the car it's self...I imagine the interior is as bad as the rest of the car...

Uhh, if you want a money pit, I guess you could tel the guy you'd houl it off for free...but really, the cars not worth anything, unless you want to throw 20k bucks into it.

I think ill pass on the car. to much money to spend ont somin i dont really like.

If you could drag it off for free, you could strip al the parts off, and sell the parts to people like me, them haul off whats left to the junk yard...from the pics it looks like it has good glass, grill, lens's.... I cant tell if anythings fogged up, but thats big money right there if it's got quality chunks on it.

Ill check next month when i go back..His place may have got forclosed on. It looked like there had not been anyone there in a couple of weeks..Ill ask the neighbors.

what am i missing that you guys are seeing? it looks to me like a decent body, a lot of surface rust to be sure but that can be sanded off and is not detrimental to the structure. even if needs floors the rest of the body looks to workable and it is a fastback, if it was a coupe i'd say it wasn't worth more than a few hundred bucks but for a fastback with a fairly decent shell 5-600 bucks is a pretty decent deal.
