Real happy with the 3.73's in my s/c GT.

Just picked-up a 04 Cobra with 15k miles. I live near Steeda and they have done all the work on my GT.

I asked my guy at Steeda about 4.10's for the Cobra. He said that he would not do it if it was his car. Said something about the longer "wined-out" on each gear is how the Cobra was meant to run (longer compaired to the GT 5spd).

Any 03/04 Cobra owners with 4.10's care to share your experiences?

My car will be mostly street although I would like to get it ready for some 1/4's as well.

Thanks!

I have 4.10's on my 03 and do not like them at all. I don't hook up and it does wind out waaaayyyy to fast for the blower. My car felt faster without the 4.10's. I think I'm going to put my 3.55's back in pretty soon. I love going 130mph in 4th as opposed to 120. If you do any gearing 3.73 should be tops. The only reason I might keep the 4.10's is because I want to put a Supercomp Auto in one day.

Thank you all. Thanks "runner". Stock 04 Cobra is really all I need where I live. Most streets are 40 or
45 mph and cops are everywhere.

It is rare that I get sucked into street racing. I know that my SC GT & my Cobra can take most cars on the street. Yet I am addicted to the horse power.

4.10's were my first thought for the first mod. I will take the advice of Steeda and those kind enough to reply to a "first poster" and keep the 3.55's.
