I’m thinking about getting a S/C for my 2002 GT with 55000 miles on it.

So here’s my Question I was thinking of getting a Vortech V2 SC With after cooler. From jegs...

Is this a good S/C for a Daily driven GT?

If not what’s a good S/C for a Daily driven S/C Car?

Whats different about the V1 Vortech? is it better ?

Also what other parts beside the S/C am i going to need to up grade to help with then install of the S/C........?

Here is a list of Parts I have on the GT right now.

BBK 75mm TB and plenum
hooker long tubes
off road X-pipe
Flowmaster cat-back.

Any info you could give me would really help me out....

thats exactly it. some mail tunes are the best for your car. i had a buddy who bought a powerhouse turbo for his 06 and the tune they gave him would pull all the timing out when he jumped on it. something wrong with the programming. that should say something about mail order tunes. just save some money for a good tune after you get blown. where are you located?? there are some really good tuners around where im at like dynospeed and RWTD.

G-ville FL. Go Gators. :nice:

the mongoose kits are a great deal. if you have the extra cash you should opt for the novi 2000 kit. thats what i have on my car. it will give you a lot of room to make more power if you ever get a built bottom end. i paid $4300 for everything shipped. the tune is dead on.

and one thing nobody has mentioned is that Tim has NEVER lost a stock engine with the mongoose tune on it!! i believe that is over 800 kits with no problems.
