.....So the other day I parted with the V6......funny story-the day the guy was supposed to pick it up I went to get it smogged and the Car wouldn`t start......tried switching the relays and still nothing.I hooked up the DIABLOSPORT and It was the FUEL PUMP(cost $500 to replace-I know I was overcharged but needed to be done)It seemed like the Car didn`t want to part with me.by the way I sold it for $7500 to a college kid and gave him the TUNER for free :)

Maybe in the near future I`ll get a SHELBY but `till then enjoying the rest of the stable...........

See you soon,

It was fun-especially in the Summer w/the Top down.....less power but good enough to turn the heads towards it :D

One positive I have found with driving a car with little-if-any power is that I don't need to watch it as much on the wet roads. In my 5.0, if I even tried to give it the gas on a wet road, that thing would fishtail in a heartbeat. One time a dweeb in his Talon was tailgating me, so I got mad and stomped the gas. Too bad I forgot it was raining. Instead of teaching him a lesson I ended up giving someone a lawn job (accidentally!) because the 5.0 spun off the road. Needless to say the Talon got around me. And as soon as I got back on the road and drove half a block, a cop appears. JUST missed it! Anyway in my V6 I have never fishtailed, not enough power.
So, that's my attempt at finding a benefit to having weak engine. How'd I do?

You're kidding, right? My roommate's '94 V6 can fishtail with the '99 Cobra wheels he has on it.

I've actually found that my 5.0 is a lot more stable(especially in the rain) because of the wheel size. I had the 15x7's on my '01 and that thing would fishtail at will. I remember one time I kicked it sideways across 3 lanes then pointed it the other way and went sideways back across all 3, and it was dry out. That was crazy.

Hmm, I don't know what to tell you.. never fishtailed in my V6. It can break the rear tires loose, but it won't fishtail, it just sits there spinning until I let off the gas. That's ok with me, I'm not real crazy about fishtailing. My 5.0 would fishtail even on dry roads, and all I had to do for that was floor it when the wheels were not pointed perfectly straight. Kinda fun, kinda scary, depending on who was around..

I fishtailed last night in mine (stock rims, cooper all weather tires). I did it on purpose though. I was turning left on a wet road. 2nd time I've fishtailed in the car, the first time wasn't on purpose and it spooked me pretty bad.

I can't say i've ever had a problem with fishtailing, although i do it occasionally. The best times are on railroad tracks when you are turning a 90* angle onto them. I've only done it a couple of times on dry pavement because normally as soon as i mash the gas pedal i realize how much gas its sucking and let off.

Fishtailing-done it w/all the cars, w/the Vette almost every turn I take I stomp on the Gas-although the ACTIVE HANDLING is always on so can`t realy "FISHTAIL", it`s fun but very very carefull,The 911 don`t really fishtail cause of the weight in the back........
