car goes low 12's should be faster

Really, you need to look at the dyno graph and see how fast and at what rpms the horsepower is falling off. For example if your horsepower on the graph is peaking at 5,800 but is a gradual curve down through 6500, you want to cross at about 6500. If the curve totally falls off at 6000 you want to cross at 6000. This will let the engine pull in it's highest power ranges throughout the 1/4. Your leaving alot on the table if you're crossing at 4200. My combo peaks at about 7,100 but has a nice broad curve that is still making over 400 rwhp at 7,500. To optimize the broad curve, I run a 4:56 and cross at around 7,500.

I just don't get it. Your gear should be about right where it is. I ran it on a calculator and 3.55s at 5,800 rpm with a 26" tire is 126.5 mph. I think your power level should easily have you there in the 1/4. Could something have happened or changed since the dyno tune? I don't think you were making that kind of power at the track with that MPH. As far as suspension, yes that will definately help your ET but it's not going to do much for your MPH which is out of whack.

It is also a dynojet, so that means its very optimistic. maybe get on a mustang dyno and see where you are at. plus you could also run through the 1/4 on the dyno and get a good idea where you should be. As far as gears, I would think the 3.55s are perfect, maybe a 3.73, but thats pushing it. I crossed the traps with 3.73 at 5800 rpm in 4th, but with a smaller tire. as for suspension, I have a bunch of stuff for sale in the Northeast classifieds, including a good deal on hpm megabite lower arms, eibach drag launch rears springs with airbags, and QA1 10 way adjustable drag struts. let me know
