nvm idk,

did your friend josh just get his liscense?

Thats dumb, its not against the law to have passegners when you just get your liscnse, thats the first thing you wanna do, drive your friends around, and did your friend josh know people from that other school?

yeah, Josh Lee. but literally 1/4 of my school's population is asian so I'm trying as hard as I can to reason with myself it wasn't him. I am sure sometime tomorrow they will release the names, and it'll be all over the school, we should know by the beginning of first period.

last december my brothers best friend and his 5 week fiance were driving home from a phx bar and they were both drunk. his wife was driving when she swerved into the opposite lane and ended up killing two guys in the other car and my brothers best friend. shes in prison and the family of my brothers best friend sold his house to pay for a lawyer for his fiance. its crazy how life can change so quickly.

Just saw the video, that reported is a d i c k. The kids died, don't make it that much harder for the parents. Don't bring legal issues of teenagers driving with passengers into it.

Not to be heartless but... Why not bring it up? Many states and counties have these laws for a reason. All too often, young drivers get into automobiles thinking that it's a place to party and socialize. They don't take time to consider the consequence of making a mistake behind the wheel. If this person's first priority were the operation of that vehicle then there's a damned good chance that he/she would have seen or at least reacted correctly to the 80,000 lb truck that was bearing down on him/her (that's something that's kind of hard to miss).

My take on it as that it SHOULD be brought up! Perhaps the next group of kids that decide to discard that particular law will think twice.

Illinois actually has a law about how many passengers you can have in a car when u first get your license. Also, a graduated license where there are certain limits for certain periods of time.

I pray your friends are ok and the families involved can somehow work through this terrible disaster.

Most of the time they dont announce stuff like that to schools. Most of the time the kids already know, so the schools leave it up to the parents to tell their kids who died. Some teachers may mention it but they dont announce it over any loudspeaker. My wife is a teacher and said they dont announce it because of ethical reasons.
