I removed my throttle body assembly last week to make some measurements for a home built throttle body spacer.
(Not that difficult) I'm making it out of Delrin plastic for ease, heat resistance and light weight.
I found quite a bit of oily residue in the throttle body throat and beyond.
Some wet, some dry.
Much more than I expected to find at 40,000 miles.
The car does suffer from detonation, so my idea is to install an oil seperator on the PCV system.
Anyone already got one installed?
What brand?
What style? (bell jar, paper filter, or motoblue?)
Does it work well?
Any info would help.
