i just put the afm powerpipe on my car after the crappy upr pipe didnt work. while i was doing that, i put my stock converter back in the car because the aftermarket one was doing some wierd stuff. i also realized that the air tube line that goes into the back of the cylinder heads had been open, so i pluged those holes off with some bolts. i put a new fuel filter in it since the stock one was still on there and the guys who tried to tune my car said it was clogged and wouldnt let fuel through. i went from 10psi peak to 15 now, and when i get to 13 now it makes some loud crazy noise and pours out black smoke that smells like burn oil, but could be fuel im not sure. the tube that comes out of the oil fill tube isnt connected to anything right now, i am going to put a breather on it but im not sure if it needs to be reconnected to the air inlet. also there is massive amounts of oil behind the engine on the top of the tranny, right below the pcv valve. i dont know what to do really, i cant figure out exactly where the oil is comming from. it wasnt doing this before i did all that work to it. i need to get it tuned now for sure, but the oil thing is making me wonder about this shortblock. its got 115k on it and has been sprayed or boosted for the last 3 years. anyone have any ideas?

black smoke usually indicates fuel or a rich condition. my car has 2 bad rings and blows oil out of the tail pipes, rear main, dip stick, where dipstick meets block, breater, etc. my smoke is thick clouds of light gray

it's probably coming out the pcv valve. those holes in the backs of the cylinder heads probably released enough of the crankcase pressure before you plugged them. now that they are closed, the pressure is forcing oil out the pcv. stock, there is a pipe that connects those holes together that connects to the emissions stuff.

that is my hypothesis at least

eaither your pcv valve is poping out under boost, or you have a bad intake to block seal.

Do you have a one-way check valve on your pcv system? The ford pcv valve is horrible and wont hold boost, i am running a additional check valve that i bought at autozone. you may be getting positive crankcase pressure causing oil control problems.

i'll try all those things, it doesnt look like its comming from the pcv system though, but it sure didnt have this oil leak before i pluged those holes up in the back of the heads , what do those go into anyways because they had vaccum to them.

IIRC those holes in the back of the stock heads are originally connected to the air pump. I know the whole smog system works together with the the oem cats and the heads and I know someone more knowledgable can chime in and explain in more detail, but that's a rough idea.

Also, it sounds like you are experiencing blow by with the additional boost you are pushing out. There are a couple posts on here somewhere about people who added breathers to their PCV system, and some others have used Supra Turbo PCVs with a custom grommet instead of our stockers. I'll see if I can dig up some threads for you.
