I'm curious if anyone here owns/leases a Fusion. I've taken a liking to these cars. It seems to be a decent car according to some other websites and after talking to a couple Ford technicians. I was just curious here if any of you guys have one as a daily driver and what you paid or what your payments are?

They are fantastic mid-sized cars. My sister is getting the Milan version in a couple of days here..

I've gone on a few test drives and really enjoyed the ride. If you have connections, the Xplan should be easy to come by, making your payments very resonable.

i read an article about them and heard they are pretty good cars, id wait till the 07 come out im sure the original has a few bugs and recalls (as do most new model fords) i also read carrol shelby is looking in to modifying one a "svt" fussion

I think Danny (Wytstang) on here has one (or actually his wife has one). He might have some feedback for you.

Good luck.

No Recalls, its the best product launch that ford has ever had. My buddy has one and they are great cars, nice ride and good looks.

I work at ThyssenKrupp Budd and we build the chassis for the Fusion, Milan, and the MK Z. They're actually very nice cars and very well built. I really like the AWD versions of these cars. But the Lincoln has me thinking about getting one. It has a 3.5L engine with around 260HP, GPS, and tons of other goodies.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'd like to go test drive one tomorrow. Unfortunately the dealer one town away has quite a few of them and they are all 2.3's. I'd like to drive the 3.0 for sure. The stickers in the windows read $20,100. They have the nice 17" wheels, cloth seats (which only have cloth down the middle and the rest is leather) and mostly power everything. Like Z20-what said the taillights aren't the best. I did hear from one mechanic that a customer said they got 40mpg with the 2.3.

I drive an 06 Fusion SEL V6 as my daily driver. The car is great. It rides smooth, and even with a V6 I get great gas mileage. It's quite a cost-effective car compared to the 2004 WRX STi I daily drove before. This thing literally costs close to 300 dollars less a month with gas/insurance factored in.

The cars got insane amounts of trunk room, nice sound system, seat warmers, great interior. I went with the all black leather. The car is all around just a great daily driver. It's like a Cadillac for half the price.

Now, the down sides of the car...

There's no balls whatsoever to the car. I don't know if maybe an air intake and exhaust would help the thing out or not. It needs something. Now I know it's not supposed to be a rocket, but the things a dog.

Other than the power, you can't beat the car for the money. Only real beef I have is that I bought an 06 without being told that AWD would be introduced in 2007. :bang:
