I bought a set of Cobra PBR calipers off a guy but I didnt get brackets with them. I call a Ford dealer and they are $81.00. Is there any one else out there I could get a set from? I thought that was kinda high for brackets when I can get a new set of calipers for around $250. I am doing a 4-5 lug swap on my 88 fox. Will Crown Vic rear calipers work? I dont know what year but I think the rear calipers are from a Crown Vic. Thanks for any info.

Nope. vic calipers won't work.

Unless you find the brackets used, you are gonna have to pay for them from Ford.

You are right though, a new set of calipers is around 200-250 from buyfordracing.com, so if you can't locate some bracketed used, it might be better to sell off your calipers and buy them new

5L is right...its a big pain to get just those brackets. I just ordered new 40th Aniv. Cobra Calipers (the red ones) from Performance Parts, Inc. They were $229 and came loaded w/ brand new everything.

As far as the rear, the Vic calipers definitely won't work. save the hassle, and drop the money on real Cobra/GT calipers. What I did...and what I found to be extremely easy, was get a complete rear end from a '94-'95 out of the junk yard. That way you have all the brackets, bolts, axles, everything. Just swap all that stuff onto your housing under the car & buy new calipers.

no...thats only on the larger trucks/suv's...they actually have a drum brake on the inside of the disc that serves as the parking brake. On the Mustang the cable attaches directly to the caliper and when you pull the handle it acutally squeezes the disc.
