i will start ordering parts in the next few weeks. the build will be a few months off still but i need to know what i will be needing. i will be geting the pistons first. most likely manley platinum pistons. do they come with rings? and if they are file fit what specs do i need? plans for the car are for a 550-600 street car. it has a blower and possibly nitrous. i will be installing some cams (recomendations?) and LT's when i do the rest. i think the heads will be stock at least for now.

heres what i have

4.6 cast iron block
cobra crank
manley billet i beam rods:D
cryo oil pump
canton oil pan
arp head studs
arp main bolts
IW 10% od 8 rib crank pulley
8 rib kit

what other parts do i need and what gaskets should i use on the engine? i know i need some good head gaskets since i will be running close to 20 psi boost. does anyone know where to get cometic gaskets? and will the stock oil pick up tube work on the canton pan?

these are the pistons i am thinking about getting
pistons
any other recomendations?

sorry for all the questions.

consider having all the internals coated with anti friction coatings. all of the racing teams do it and theres power to be had. also cryogenically treating the interanls can help. with those conrods, what bolts are you using? ARP makes ones that are rated to 210,000psi. why are you using main bolts, studs make everything easier. make sure that you get the ARP assembly lube. all of their torque specs require thier lube. also get a bolt stretch gauge for the conrod bolts.

i am building my engine. i have built the 302 for my maverick, the 350 in my blazer and MANY more when i was working at my last job. i have never build an engine that will hold the power that i will be putting in my 4.6.

why would i waste the $2500 in parts that i have sitting in my shop right now and order an engine from someone?

from what it sounds like, a windage tray is the same thing as a main stud gridle right?
