Ford just Rapped me!!!!!!

Damn son you might ass well bend over and let the Titanic slide on in. I only payed 19.99 for mine with a lifetime waranty. I would try and see if what they charged you for is what they did. Sometimes they fix other things and do not tell you and charge you for it anyways. Dang Dodge dealers. Sorry for the loss bro. Should have taken a weekend to do it, and other things that you wanted to do.

Sorry I havent been on in the past hours guys, I have been icing my u know what. Yea regarding them raping me just on the price of the core is no surprise The dealership is in a town where everyone has alot of money, so I have found there parts prices to be somewhat higher.

I do have a Mustang Shop I usually send my car to (all mods in my sign were installed there) but its about an hour away and they are always booked up and my car sits there for two weeks

I dont know what to say. I guess another innuendo.

Damn at that price you better not have given them the courtesy of a reach around!

I hated doing my heater core the first time. It was freezing outside so it wasnt fun and I wasnt as mechanically inclined it was my first 87 stang. I just kept thinking if my car was one year older I could open the glovebox and pull it out.

Last time i checked, a Ford OEM heater core was only around $50

I paid $40.29 for my heater core from Ford, and I live in Canada.List price was $47.40.
$125.00 for a heater core is insane.

Glad I can do this job myself.
$900 labour + $125 = $1025 .

look at your reciept and see how many hours of labor they charged you for. if i remember correctly its something like 12-14 hours of labor. and what labor is now a days thats about right. i find it hard to believe that anyone can do a heater core in a little over an hour in our cars. especially if you have a/c hooked up and working. you cant get the heater box off the firewall enough to get it out unless you undo the a/c lines

You don`t have to disconnect the AC lines.Bend the accumulator mounting brackets forward for the extra clearance.
A bonus if the system is charged and working.
