fuel regulator question

i just installed a bbk adjustable fuel regulator and when i started the car up fuel started shooting out the vacuum port. need help please

The diaphram in your new regulator has sprung a leak. Put the old regulator back on and send the new one back for an exchange or refund.

The FPR uses engine vacuum to help regulate the fuel pressure. There is pressurized fuel on one side of the diaphram and engine vacuum on the other side. When an internal leak develops, it spits fuel out the vacuum line.

thank you very much . thought id messed it up also when it spit out the fuel it sounds like the starter relay blew out because now it want turn over.

you put in too much fuel, hydrolocked it, and bent all the rods!!!!
