How does this combo sound??

I just got a quote for a 331 and was wondering what you guys thought of it? Let me know what you think it will put out for HP, TQ and times. Will this be a good steet setup? Let me kow If there is anything you would change? Thanks in advance, JD

I have a performer intake, bbk70mm tbto put on this also. What else should I get to go with this setup? Oh and I have a 94 gt coupe with a t-5, alum. driveshaft, and 373 gears.

Only think I can say for sure is you're gonna either want to get a new intake or have the Performer ported. This winter I'm sending my Performer out to be ported.

Oh i see them now. I skimmed ur list and didnt see the usual Edel, AFR, TFS jump out at me.

If i was doing a 347 i would go with edl. vic jr parts

I would use a Scat 4340 forged crank, not the RPM crank, 5.4 rod lightweight I beam w 7/16" ARP rod bolt upgrade, not a 5.315, Romac ultralight 28oz damper, Fidenza 28oz aluminum flywheel. Liteweight rotating assembly spins up real fast. and I would do a custom cam designed around the head and intake cfm flow among other things, from FTI, Cam Motion or Jay Allen. That 226/232 dur is too small, IMO, go with a 230/240 dur, or just go with off the shelf cam like Comp Cam XE282HR, one bad ass cam.

I would go with at least a Performer ll intake but a better choice would be the Holley Systemax ll port matched to the gasket and the heads.

are you staying NA with it or do you plan on boosting it? with that CR, i bet NA.

looks like a good start, but:

what do you know about the heads?
what machine work are they doing?
main girdle? if so you should have it align honed with the girdle torqued down.
windage tray?
hone with or without torque plate?
deck or square the block?
high volume or standard oil pump?
standard or high capacity oil pan?
what headers?
