Hello,

Well those fabulous folks at CrazyKoncepts hooked me up...and then some.
My Cobra is a terror and well so much so it has now defunct my stock clutch...I can't do anything above say 3K with out spining it now.

I need a reliable clutch that will hold back 600rwtq and say 600rhwp.
I don't expect I will need more then that...and I want to make sure my current 520/510 will do ok with it.

Any ideas ...

I'm also looking for a good proshop near newberg, or. I used Krazy Koncepts but Paul is out..and John has setup a new shop near Beaverton I think. *scratches head* any how. I need a clucth soon ...and I want a good one. If I can't find a good proshop any idea on who could put this puppy in....

I'm wanting probably a new flywheel as well.

Just go to Krazy Koncepts Performance. The new shop is in Beaverton, right off TV Hwy. Yes, Paul is gone, but the current staff is quite qualified to provide the services you need. My truck may be going there in a week or so for some custom wiring. Go to the old KK web sight for the current shop number and give the shop a call.
As far as clutches, Jeff suggested the new SPEC twin plate. I have heard nothing about actual availability, but I know it is out. It is supposed to be very good, rivaling the McLeud twin disk in performance and driveability. This would give you ample room to go. Otherwise, go with a SPEC 3. The reason local shops install that clutch so often is that it works very well.

Eric -

I would go with a Spec 3+. I have that in now and it was a great street clutch. I would not recommend it to anything over 650. Drivability is great and not much chatter. The pedal effort for me seemed softer then stock. The Ram HD is getting great reviews also.

LOL

I will give you a shout on the morrow...I need to get her replaced...all nasty ...hanging that junk out. LOL

I'm thinking Spec 3+ ...not sure but a 26 spline may help with some of my slipage ...what is this about the PPRV replacement...I do get the dog under...sometimes when around 3K and let out the gas...then go in..it just dogs hard...I had my fuel pressure replaced earlier...I do have a BAP and what I had read was that over 15psi and the car starts over compensating for fuel pressure...
???

Thanks

Does that ever sound to familiar:nonono: I think im having flash backs..oh im ok now that was a close one lol. Good luck especially when you go to 60lb injectors unless you get lucky. Your probably running out of fuel on the big end to, almost guaranteed with your Horse power I was running out at 500rwh and 510rwt and thats when the fun began. You'll be in good hands though with ASD @KKP Especialy since he owns a Bad Ass Cobra and knows them inside and out .Alan is da man and Jon is a awsome tuner:nice:

Bill-it has had great luck with the clutch in his 03 cobra with 702 to the tires. You might ask him what clutch he is using and who installed it. :D They should have it in stock. :D

Don't pat yourself on the back to much.:nono:
Bill-it has never ran his 702 nitrous tune on the street. Its easy to say a clutch will hold the power on the rollers but its a whole different story on the street. Let me drive his car and turn on the N2O and I bet it won't hold or last.:D Bill has a Spec 3 and AFP installed it.

I don't believe I was patting myself on the back. I was refering him to someone who has had a good practical experiance in the matter. Bill bought the clutch from Blue Oval Performance and Ford installed it. I had nothing to do with that aspect of his car. While he has not run the nitrous tune on the street ( not sure why one would need to do that ) he has run the blower tune on the street and track without failure. I believe that to be more than the 600 hp capability that Oregon Mustang was looking for.

P.S. You and Bill do not have the same clutch by the way. But it is a SPEC :nice:
