Anybody on here running solid motor mounts on a 5-speed car? Have any trouble with them? I bought solid motor and trans mounts for mine but I've had some people say not to use the trans mount as it can cause damage to the trans case. I also had one tell me not to use the solid motor mounts because I'm running a 5-speed. Anybody got any opinions on it.

I run solid engine mounts with a stock transmission crossmember in a SBF/TKO 600 combination and it works fine. My understanding is that with production blocks there is some risk of distorting the block with solid mounts under very high stress loads (when it torques over hard). This could be an old wives tale too I guess. I've never worried about it with the Dart block though, and I only ran Convertible mounts with stock blocks.

I run solid motor mounts on a 5.0 with a aod i was told not to run a solid mount on the trans it could crack the case for the car flexing. only reson i when with solid motor mounts to stop riping out the right side mount. just with solid motor mounts dose kinda shack the car.
