1/8th to 1/4

maybe 8.79, definitely not 7.79.

theres not magic forumula, no special calculator that will give you a real accurate 1/8 to 1/4 conversion. They may give you a rough idea, but there are way to many variables to consider.

Your buddy need to get the 60's on down. Get the ET Street off and put a set of 26x10 ET Drags. What's done to the suspension? If you can get your buddy on here I would like to know his launch and shift RPM. Also how much air pressure was he running in the ET Streets.

Yeah, I have seen quite a few different variances of the multipliers throughout different NHRA and IHRA literature as well. But they are just to roughly estimate what your 1/4 ET would be, and if we take them to mean just that they are a pretty good tool.

Only thing is they don't account for alot of the variables like has already been noted. It is not uncommon for a relatively stock car to rip some awesome 60 ft, 330 ft, and 1/8 mile numbers, especially with alot of gear and slicks. The big end of the 1/4 is where the HP really factors in. So if this same guy were to run an actual 1/4 mile, he might actually be more in the upper 12's.

Nevertheless, he has a car that is digging pretty hard for a relatively unmodded chassis/suspension.

Gearbanger. A 1.64 does suck when you go 1.25-1.28 on average. :D

If the car has any suspesion mod it should go 1.55-1.58. But alot depend on getting the car to hook. The track prep, tires, suspension adjustment, etc, etc. He would see alot of improvement by getting a real set of slicks:nice. I have never had any luck with the ET Street.

The et streets are what he drives on the street with and yes slicks would do better, and also the track sucked that day. He never got a good burnout the rearend wanted to keep going to the left. It just barely started to smoke the tires.
