How do I add oil?

  • Sponsors (?)

Maybe someone at the assembly plant felt like screwing with someones head.

The older pre-99 GT's had the oil filler neck on the drivers side. So I imagine thats what year the valve cover is for.

For whatever reason they changed it, they must have ordered one for the wrong year. I also notice that the oil cap looks like a donor.:rlaugh: Hey, it looks a little funny two oil necks and the the pvc tubing looks rigged with the 90 degree elbow, but as long as it keeps oil in and elements out:nice:

Do you work at some small hick car lot that rips people off selling wrecked cars without telling people? That's sort of the impression I'm getting.. especially when I consider this: What reputable cars sales place wouldn't have the resources to answer this question themselves (i.e. a service dept they work with,) and would rely on asking an internet forum?

Sorry buddy. Read the whole thread and you will find that my question is a joke. I posted this in talk because that is what it is. I just wanted to show people how the past owner put the wrong valve cover on while replacing for i dont know what reason. I found it funny as did some others. Others thought i really didn't know how to add engine oil because they didn't read the entire post....like you.:nono:

And no we aren't going to sell this car to someone with out them knowing it was wrecked. Thats illegal. We are going to sell it as is or fixed up for a lower price with salvage title so the owner can find you and smoke you.:nice:

Yeah, and I bet you'll conveniently leave the "salvage title" part out of the deal won't you.

The really sad part about your post is, that you have the wrong antifreeze in there, you have a ghetto rigged hose coming off the wrong valve cover, then you tell us you plan on selling it, and expect us to think this is hilarious that you're going to end up screwing over a future mustang owner.

Knowing the next guy to drive that will probably end up posting here asking how he can go about fixing the problems that you're currently joking about.. real funny.

:nonono:
1. We haven't even touched the car yet...this is the way it came in.
2. We are NOT going to sell this car without the owner knowing it has salvage title.
3. The fixs that the next buyer would have to do really aren't that hard. Changing a valve cover hard? Flushing antifreeze hard? If you think so.

 Go change your oil and add it to your website.:owned: Then buff out those swirl marks in your paint that are obvious in the 'Before After thread'.

Alright, are you guys even reading what im writing? I just got done explaining my theory of why there are two oil filler necks. I was joking about which oil filler neck I should put the oil in(this wouldnt matter). Im not joking that there is a filler neck on each cam cover. Everyone that has posted in here is just trying to be a smart ***. If that makes you guys feel good, flame on. I posted this in talk because i was just trying to see if anyone else thought it was funny that the car has two oil filler necks. I guess this is normal since everyone in here thinks so.:bang:

Next time post the pic right away, when you first read it it does not seem like your kidding..

BTW you should fill both of them at the same time, that way you can be super fast at pouring the oil in after a oil change.

No, I posted thinking that everyone would catch on right away when I asked which of the two oil filler necks I should use. No one caught it though.

How would we all catch on if we don't have a siamese engine like you do? I only have one...

I caught that right away when I first read it  I don't get why some people are getting so uptight over it, ligthen up a little jeez. The guy posts a thread about having 2 oil fill necks and is getting flamed for lieing, being stupid, and supposedly intending to sell a wrecked car to an unsuspecting buyer. Screw "days of our lives" or any other soap opera/teenage girl hangout spot, you're providing enough drama in this thread to keep me entertained.
