Howdy,

I hope everyone is gearing up for a great Holiday season!

I have a quick request. I'm getting a Digicon Smart Spark controller but it won't include instructions. I have searched exhaustively and cannot find anything online, nor can I elicit a useful reply from anyone who has ever posted that they had this controller in the past (this has been attempted on several major forums. I find folks whom talk about the unit and PM them for help. No one has been able to yet).

If anyone has a set of instructions, please PM me (I am hoping you might be willing to photocopy them and mail them to me. Of course, I'd reimburse for copies, postage, etc). And I'd be very grateful. This unit sounds to be a bit involved and the instructions would really help.

Even if someone just remembers some of the ins-and-outs about using the unit and would be willing to share some of those thoughts, that'd be a great help.

Thank you!

oh my god! you are actually asking for help? this is a first that i can remember. :)
just kidding.

i think everyone on here owes it to you to spend atleast an hour looking for an answer just because of all the help that you have given us. and this needs to be a sticky until we get an answer. :SNSign:

im looking right now

Dragnazz, at the first post. Thank you for the very kind thoughts. :salute:
I hope I saved folks some search time - I looked pretty hard across the internet (I don't do PDF-links very often because the puter doesn't like them, but otherwise I tried to read about everything I could find..............).
I know you've been workin hard on all your certs and schooling, and are a little more used to reading SAE papers than I am, but I was kinda lost on the link (what should I have been looking at?).

Dave is another example of those whom go out of their way to help out - I just received a SMOG pump from him today (Looks great bud - I'll get to messing with it) and he refused payment of any sort - no one on a forum has ever done that for me before (most folks atleast let me cover shipping, but not him). :hail2:

Dave, IIRC that uber-happy-to-help guy was on a Corral thread. I had emailed him and the email was kicked back to me as being a bad addy. I don't think he had PM'ing enabled in his profile either (that was going to be my next step). I even joined a couple forums just to bump threads and PM folks. Nada. Someone on another forum YELLED at me that there are online instructions, but I can't find them.

I had put out PM's on stang and 4th gen camaro forums (they use the controller too) and no one has been able to help (I've gotten replies from most folks and those that haven't replied probably won't :( ).

It's weird - from what I gather, this thing is not real intuitive to use (it has a fair amount of features) but no one ever did an online article about it that I can find. I found one stang-mag reference to it, but it was a feature that simply mentioned that the owner used the controller.

I'm about out of ideas about how to find anything. :bang: Please keep the ideas coming guys. :hail2:

i really just linked that paper because the guy doug yip is mentioned at the top and it has Digicon Engineering next to his name.

well i just tried calling that number i posted but it was busy. and they are in canada so i dont know if its the same company or what. i dont even know how to call a number in canada

This has been sitting here for a couple of says now. I'll copy this over to tech. Maybe someone over there will see it that has what you're looking for. Every couple of days, we can move to another forum and see if we find a hit somewhere.

Thank you for all of the moral support guys. :SNSign: The support and help from members and admin/moderators is very-much appreciated, and like none I've even remotely received on any other forum!

Joe, thank you for the daunting list. :rlaugh: I had played around with quotes around the search terms or omitting a term - you know I'm a caveman with the internet and computer speak. Otherwise the list degrades quickly a few pages into the search.

I've been joining forums and bumping threads to no avail (once again showing how great the Stangnet community is - filled with folks whom really care).

Dragnazz, thank you again for the kind words and effort. From what I understand, this iteration of Digicon is out of business, so I'm not sure if there will be valid contact info out there.

I'll keep trying to come up with something. I do know others are lookin for info - I have a few guys who have asked me to CC anything I find because they were in the same boat and never did find anything. It'd be great to help those guys out too.

I got the same impression that the company is gone. I ended up with a lot of dead links directed to info on the company. Everything else I ran into was someone looking for the same info and not receiving any response.

Good luck with the search. Hopefully someone will come through.
