'Evenin' all...

For the past couple days since installing the plates and the tune, I've been running into some issues.

The other morning while accelerating the car went into fail safe mode and shut off.

After getting it started everything went as normal and when I got home from work I ran the predator for codes. What I came up with were the following:

P061B unknown

Throttle Control Actuator - forced engine shutdown
Throttle Control Actuator - force limited power

I cleared the codes and everything was fine again until this evening on my way to the track to see what the mods did to the car.

I floored it on some open road and the car shut down again. Running the codes came up with the same TC's.

I took the car home and reflashed the ECU, drove it again and even under full throttle everything seems fine.

My question, which may be reduntant, is this. When I installed the plates I mere left the IMRC motor in place and just disconnected the arms. Then I hooked the motor back up again. Should I have left the motor unhooked?

The car does have tunes designed to deactivate the IMRC plates through Dynotuned. At this point I'm thinking there is a problem with the tune, whether by my install of it or somehow the file was corrupted ( I had to forward it through two other computers ) or perhaps an error on behalf of the shop, of which I'm awaiting an answer for now.

If anyone has any insight for me on this I would greatly appreciate it! :(

I've got a JPC tune on the car right now with Motors unplugged. No problems at all. JPC will send you a tune for 50 bucks if you ever want to try a different tune on it.

Your not alone i had the same thing happen to me. "it is the tune" there is a place in the tuner program for a torch management system it needs to be turned off. what it is trying to do is protect you drive train from getting messed up
