Well I have managed to get a green light from the wife on refinishing the interior on the 65 fastback and am having trouble selecting a color. Currently the car has ivy gold/white interior and it is beginning to show its age. I am looking to use the TMI pony sport seats with headrests and have narrowed it down to three choices:

1) Restore my current ivy/white interior

2) All White Pony with black dash and carpet

3) Black/White Pony interior, but not certain on the rest of the finishes

or

I would need the same amount of parts for each project, but would need to paint the interior for the last two options. Any opinions or pics of cars finished in any of these colors would be much appreciated.

My car:

Thanks in advance

Out of your options I would go with choice three, but if it was my car I'd probably do an all red interior. However, I think either choice 2 or 3 will really complement your car, the exterior of which is just about perfect imo

First off, if I had to choose your options I would go with 3B (I like the white/black mix, not too much and not too little).

Second, like stangkid88 mentioned, I would go with an all red interior with a black car (I always wanted this set up). All my Mustangs (past and present) have black interior, it's nice but common.

Your car looks very clean!

I think they all look okay, my favorite is the first if your car was white like the one pictured. But with the black exterior you really only have two choices, red or black, nothing else looks right to me with the black exterior.

One exception would be a modernized grey/charcoal/slate color, but you'd have to do a lot of customization on the classic parts to go grey.
