headers

im looking for headers for my 95 mustang v6 stick, i cant find a place that carries them

The stock once support 500rwhp so no need to upgrade the shorties, but if you get headers. Get the long tubes for better improvment

i thought i had heard they were only good for up to 300-400 hp?

I know of one that is using his stock headers ('95) with 550rwhp so they flow more than enough

Parts can be rated to a certain extent but its for a reason...its not that its can hold performance down up to 500hp flowing...the fact is...at a certain point the header will break.....and I would change the headers waaayy b4 i make even 400hp in my 02 stang...because its more relaible that way and flows a lot better which makes power easier to obtain.....Long tubes are the way to go for me since I might just build my car on motor but then again a twin turbo kit is always in mind so I will be going with shorty headers most likely....otherwise Longtubes.... www.v6mustangstuff.com or www.Lmperformance.com has LT's for 313.03 *Ceramic* coated which is cheap and i belev that includes shipping !

I agree, replace them asap when adding performance items... cuz of many reasons... i want to replace my manifolds to shorties (think they're shorties), some JBAs or BBKs from rpmoutlet.com... why should long tubes be better if building just motor? longs arent gonna give you clearance issues if you lower your car (ie. speed bumps, etc.)? will adding an exhaust system, with catted xpipe + a catback, wont make the tips stick farther out or make it fit funny?

I dont get the difference really between shorties and longs, can someone explain to me my questions and also the differences and pros and cons? please

Im aware of the difference already...just didnt put down manifolds but thanks for the ABCs...i was making a point for the most part.....so let me re-phrase....i wouldnt bother with my manifolds when making a lot of power...LT's give more power in higher RPMs then shortys and add a slight aggresive sound over the shortys which is a plus...

On a +99 you will see more gain with shorties than on a pre 99.
