Trust me when I tell you this....get the borla style. I work for Enterprise here at our local ford dealery and there are a couple of Shelbys that come in for oil changes and what not and to be honest my car sounds tougher than those cobras. I had a service tech rev one up for me and its not very impressive. But to each his own I tend to like the loud deep throatyness of my mufflers...

Yes I have the Stinger type round body mufflers...I hear corsa also makes a good loud system with very little drone. I have gotten used to the drone made by mine to the point where I it wouldnt feel right If I did not have that feedback from the car.

Um ok ?? When did they make a S197 Cobra ??

Secound ONLY the Shelby GT/Hertz get the GTA muff's.

The GT500 SHELBY has lame factory muffs.............

Never heard such a lame post, drone suck azz no matter what age you are.

Corsa is great if you like spending $600 for tips and 2 muffs.

LIke I said, for sound, price & value the GTA is heard to beat hands down with ZERO drone.......:hail2:

And he never bothered to provide a direct answer to my question, so I still have no idea if he's referring to the FRPP/Borla stinger or the Borla s-type that's available through Borla directly... Then to top it off, he also claims the Corsa is a good loud system with no drone ? so just how in the hell can an axle back be both loud and with no drone at the same time ???..Something sure doesn't add up nor does it make any logical sense..

I just got mine through Ninosport.
Installed them over the holiday break and they sound great!
They're a little louder than stock, but not too much and they give a deeper tone.
I like the sound of them from the inside because, when I'm cruising, you can hear them and there's no drone at all.
Once you hit the gas, you can really hear the difference.
I love them!

Installing them is a snap.
With the help of my bro and cousin, we didn't have to lift it up because there was enough space to get under and do the swap.
There are some tight spaces where the mounting bracket bolts are located, but with the right tools it makes it easy.

Kinda off topic. But where is the best place to jack the car up and still allow me roon to get at the mufflers.

I had my systems off 4 times and never used a jack.............

Corsa CLAIMS its a no drone system, not shelling out $600 to find out it drones on a auto car.

I am stuck with a $400 JBA system that drones like made with a auto.

I test sound along side a Jersey barrier, the GTA system passed the test with flying colors and 50 state legal :flag:

IMOP 4" tips look the best on these cars.................

SWEET I can try it today I think. Is it just one bolt or anything special?

Wow, did you not read before you posted your nonsense? My response was to the fact that he wants the FRPP non Stinger type mufflers and his post stated (see bold) that there are some shelby's that run this system. I pointed out very clearly in my post that there are some shelby's that come to my local ford dealer for service and they dont sound as tough as my S197. Never mentioned any relation to a s197 Cobra. And I did provide some advice in my second post stating that I did have the stinger type and DRONE IS AWESOME...What a lame ass moderator. Read before you post:SNSign:

I remember going through all this crap...had the MAC...swapped them out for the JBA...to much drone...swapped them out for the Ford Racing Stingers...disappointed because wasn't loud enough...finally put the SLP Loudmouths on...all I can say is HEAVEN! Can't wait to hear them with my Ford Racing headers and my new Bassani X pipe with o/r down pipes.

Had a guy following me in an SRT-8 charger...he pulled up next to me and told me my car sounded BADASS! Gave him a thumbs up and we both peeled out.

here are my two cents. the Pypes Vilolater stainless axle back. it is loud in the rear with not much cabin noise. i purchased mine from brenspeed.com here is the link.

+1 on this. Even with my headers and off-road H-pipe it's nice. Zero Drone and it screams when you get on it. Oh yeah, ZERO trumpeting too. I mean, I guess it might have some but it blends in so well that you can't tell that it's there unless you're really listening for it. Definitely a VERY good purchase.

You save a few bucks and get the ones that aren't polished also and they are also stainless steel (I checked the packaging and they guarantee it so...). The tips also look absolutely amazing on it.
