Headlights wont work.....where to start?

Please help....I just discovered that my headlights dont work. I dont have highbeams or lows. All other electricals work (blinkers, hazards, park, backup, brake.....). Bulbs are in and good, wires seems connected. Any place else to start with? I didnt see a fuse for it. Its a 88 GT.

Thanks

Mainly looking for advice or schematics or anything.

could be the switch... check all the fuses again just to make sure... pull em out if you have to just to be certin..

take out the lightswitch and check out the connector see if its melted or not... make sure all the wires going to the connector are pluged all the way into your light switch..

check for power to it

my guess is your switch went out

Does flash-to-pass work? If so, the wiring from the MF to the headlights would indicate to be alright.

Check the headlight switch, the power cable from the headlight switch to the MF switch, and the connector at the MF switch.

Good luck.

If the flash to pass works with no lights then it's probably the mutifunction switch. That's what happened to mine as well.. Just make sure you get the correct one as 87-89 are NOT the same as 90-93's. Here is a link, although pricey, you may get it cheaper from autozone or ebay if you want to take a chance on a used one. It's a common problem so I'd buy a new one if it's me.

MF switch = the multifunction switch that PB19 mentioned. It's the turn signal switch.

Since two different sources out power-feed (normal and FTP) don't work, I'd want to check the output at the MF switch (as PB19 mentoned). Time to pop the column covers and check in and out voltages.

Good luck.
