Can anyone help me ID this classic stang?

I am trying to figure out exactly what year/model Mustang this is. It appears to be a 67-68 Fastback. Thanks in advance.

Yup, without seeing interior, hard to tell if it is a 65 or 66.

Just by visual I would say 66, because they didn't have backup lights in 65, but that would be an easy addition, so it could be a 65.

Not a 64 1/2 there were no fastbacks untill 65. If you blow the picture up it looks like a 66 gas cap, but that is easy to change.

Yup, you're right! There were no 64 1/2 Fastbacks. I always do that because I saw a 65 Fastback once when I was young, which the owner claimed was a 64 1/2 and it even had the cooling louvers for the battery. But I later learned that owner must have done that to screw with people. Well I guess his plan worked because it's screwed me up for years now even though I know the truth....No 64 1/2 Fastbacks!

Edit: I'd guess 66 as well because of the back up lights (even though it's an easy mod).

You guys are right!! I found out today that it is in fact a '66.

Reverse lights were available in 1965 as a dealer option, so they are not a good indicator of the year.

I thought some early fastback had the cooling things....carryover parts ford had laying around or something

I usually tell by the front. The crosshair on the pony will tell you '65 right away. =D
