I was hoping someone could shed some light on my current situation. I got in the car this morning to go to work, started the car up, stereo turned on. Had to go back inside to get something so I shut the car off. I went back outside turned the car on and now the only thing the head unit says is "BAD" where the radio frequencies are. Has this ever happened to anyone else, if so what does it mean. I'm assuming its not a loose connection because it worked 30 seconds earlier and nothing changed in that time. Thanks for the help!

:rlaugh: I have a picture of mine doing it. I'll upload it later on when I switch computers.

My mach 460 system acts crazy at times and I've seen "Bad" about 3 times. Sometimes it'll look like Japanese characters as well :D

lol @ Bad... Mine crapped out and would keep clicking at me after I put a cd in, but wouldn't play the cd... and wouldn't give it back to me either... greedy ford...

So I bought a nice little kenwood deck. It likes me and always gives me cd's back.

If you are needing a new stock headunit, i still have my mach 460 6disc sitting around i would sell real cheap. only bad thing is is i dont know if it still works and i have no way of testing. Otherwise i have a pioneer indash about to go on ebay unless i get better offers

Maybe you loaded it with an old Michael Jackson Album by mistake?

Try unplugging your battery for 10 min then plugging it back in. It resets the cd player. You can also tap on the front of it if it wont give you your cd back and it will come out. Mine started doing that at about 30k and has only gotter worse.
