I am trying to get down to bare metal and in most areas ther is a whitish paint and then gray paint or primer under it. I tried useing Aircraft stripper and then a wire brush, the stripper no matter how long I let it sit for does nothing and the wire brush takes for ever. Any one have a good way of removing it?

"Aircraft Stripper" contains methylene chloride as the main incredient. ME has a hard time with body fillers and some epoxies. I tried stripping the roof of my car, but it has a layer of glaze/filler that dates back to the late '60s. I tried hand sanding and light duty sand blasting, but it is going to need motorized mechanical removal.

get an abrasive disc and put it on a 4 1/2" angle grinder and that will strip paint filler, and anything else to bare metal in about 2 seconds. aircraft stripper is the biggest joke i have ever tried....what a mess.....didn't take barely anything off....don't even bother.
