My car has been running fine but all of a sudden the car will die when im driving down the road, sometimes it will stay off and sometimes it will start back up while the car is still rolling wqithout me turning the key. I am confused and not sure what the problem is. I was thinking maybe there is a short in the fuel regulator? I honestly have no clue what it could be. I thought once a car died it was dead until you turn it back on but since it will restart itself I dont know what it is. Any help would be very usefull. Thanks

If it's a stick and the key is still turned to the run position..not start.....it would be like "bump" starting......that was a trick a lot of us used with sticks when the battery was dead etc......push the car with the key on run and dump the clutch with the car in gear..........have you checked the car for codes......?

mine had been doing that once every few days up until 2 weeks ago, i know exactly how you feel- it's annoying and confusing as hell. :bang:

check the voltage on your ignition control module (under the MAF), clean out all of the connections under the hood, make sure the ground wire from the battery to the engine is clean and working good. dont waste money by buying a new coil (like i did) or a new ICM (like i did). :nonono:

dont buy something unless it's broken...

...and that is the most broken rule here on :SNSign:

Wade, sorry to hear you're still fighting that bug. :(

ISU, also let us know how long it shuts-off for? A split second, a second, 2 seconds, etc?

Good luck.
