Coil over question

I searched couldn't find what i needed. Anyway i am in the process of installing my tubular k-member and coil over setup on my 91 lx. Question is the coil over part that slides on the strut, does it just rest on top of the strut where the spindle bolts on? There is a notch like it should catch on something, but on my monroe struts they don't catch on anything. Would this be ok? Thanks for the info.

yes that is right, the lower spring seat sits on the bracket for the spindle. the notch is for said bracket and should keep the lower spring seat from rotating.

Well i don't know what to do, either modify my struts or get new ones. Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure what the answer to your question is but Maximum Motorsports has some really good install instructions. I know they are using different parts but the instructions and pics may help.

you shouldnt have to modify anything. what brand coilovers do you have?
