I was looking into getting a strut tower brace for my 03 Mach and the only company I could find that makes one is Steeda. They also have 2 choices which are 2 point, & 3 point versions. I was looking at getting the 3 point peice. My question is has anyone installed one of these, and what does it take. Of course it looks like you have to remove the shaker & probably drill holes in the shock towers, but what else? Is it worth it? Will it fit with the C&L mass air kit I just purchased. Why did Ford stop putting strut tower braces on Mustangs? Thanx

May I ask why you want one? Is it for show or enhancing your handling? The strut towers on a mustang are strong enough to not need one, same as other cars, and is mostly a show piece and meant for a very small increase in steering durring hard, and I mean hard cornering, which doesn't enhance the suspension

the 3 point will not clear any aftermarket CAI that uses a different-than-stock intake tube. The steeda and PHP CAI will clear it because they only use a different air-box.

FWIW I only got the STB because I was running with coil-overs...otherwise I would've spent my money elsewhere. And yes I noticed a huge difference with it installed and normal day to day driving...but of course I had a different front suspension.
