Anybody have these seats in their SN95? Girlfriend bought them for me for xmas, and I want to know if I can use the adapter brackets she bought me, or if I have to buy a complete set of new seat rails...

I put in Corbeau seats a couple years ago and also bought new adapters from Corbeau. The new adapters are manual, which was good, because I didn't need the power stuff with these seats.

The new adapters weighed a lot less than the factory adapters, plus the new ones are much stronger. My driver's side seat adapter was broken allowing the seat to move, so the new adapters were a welcome upgrade.

The new adapters fit perfect! Finally something fits exactly as advertised. :)

When you say adapter... do you mean, full bracket with slider, ect...? Or just the flat steel adapter plate to mount to the stock seat brackets (rails, sliders, ect)?

Thanks.. and also, how much did you pay for them :)

Oops! I bought the full bracket (rails and sliders) and paid within a couple dollars of whatever Corbeau lists on their website. I think I saved maybe $30 per seat from what was listed going through a local dealer.

If you want hard numbers, I can get those from home tonight.

Overall, I sit about an inch to an inch and a half lower than before with the Corbeau seats and slider/rail combo.

I'm 6'5", so sitting lower is great. My wife (5'6") doesn't like it too much, but she can drive without any problems. I don't think she'd drive my car if I had a taller hood than stock.

Does the headrest on your seat raise up for proper adjustment? If so, that's good.

The only complaint I have about my seats is the height of the seatback. When I'm done with my car in 2-3 years (new engine, completed suspension, new bumpers/hood, new paint, etc.), I'm going to finish off the interior by replacing the carpet and finally a new pair of seats like a touring set of Cobras or Recaros. Getting 4-5 years out of my seats is fine with me, plus I'm sure I can sell these easily.

Now you got me thinking... I'm only 5'-11" and I do have the Cobra R hood, so sitting a little lower might be too low for me. hmm.. I think I'll source out a manual stock bracket and use the Corbeau adapter brackets I already have. At least I'll try it and decide if I like the way it sits... if not, I'll pony up (no pun ;) ) the extra cash for the full brackets.

hey buddy! I found a site that has the ones for mustangs for 32 bucks. On corbeaus site they are outrageous. Its a full manual slider so you will cut off all that heavy weight of the stock junk.

If you buy the corbeau seat track, make sure you get the dual slider. My dad put a corbeau seat and slider in his '91 and the first hard launch he found himself literally in the back seat. They sold him the single slider and it just couldn't hold. They also make a dual slider and now that he has that its a non-issue.

Thanks for trying.... Snoozer... I didn't think you still had a Mustang.. How's the car running...?

I still have the car, I just work alot. I drive her over 100 miles a day. I would like to continue to make a few refinements for the daily commute if i Dont sell it. I wont sell it until i get a roomate to split rent, and even then who knows. I thi9nk with a few more refinement mods I wont crave another car as much but only time will tell.

car is running Just as usual even though it always feels slow but i ran my friends newly put together HC 4.6 last night and it ran well against him from a roll. He put down 302/320

I put the driverside seat in with stock seat track and adapter brackets... and I must say that the seat seems like I'm sitting higher... Damm... Maybe I'll just buy the driverside Corbeau seat track, and use a stock one on the passenger side....

I ended up buying the Corbeau Seat track with dual locking slider for the driverside. I bought the single lock for the passenger side. These definitely make the seat sit lower (1" to 1-1/2" lower over stock bracket), and the seats are now in the perfect height position. I also have no problem seeing over my Cobra R cowl hood.

So... the verdict.. save up an extra $100-$150 for the corbeau seat tracks, because you will need them...

In the 2003 Mustangs stock seats feel like your sitting way to high in my opinion. The corbeau seats and tracks put them just where they need to be. I have the GTS11 black/gray suede and they are nice! Grab you in the right spots and not mushy like the stockers. Definetly an A+ mod! :nice:

I have a Corbeau forza on the drivers side and I bought their adapters for the stock power seat rack and it worked like a charm (its funny I have a rigid race seat sitting on a power seat rack:p )....got the seat for like $230 and its FIA homologated so its really safe:D . I bet its much to agressive for you guyz on the street. So your GF bought you some sweet seats for xmas....Tell me this, does she have a sister?:D Forwarning you, mine has been doing daily driver duty for the last 2yrs and its showing wear on the "high wear patches", but it may be because I slip in/out of the seat a dozen times a day and since mine is a pretty much race seat it wasn't designed for that. I may reupholster this one or maybe get a sparco eventually.

Lol... no sister.. oh yeah, did I mention she bought me a Porter Cable DA 7424 Car buffer with accessories for Valentines day... :) My girl was into cars before I met her, so I don't have to work that hard to get parts I want. I also just converted her from her 2001 Prelude SH, to an 07 Mustang GT.
