sorry guys, but i finally changed camps. i love the new edge mustangs, but it got to the point that it was getting more and more worn out and givingmore and more problems. i cant complain that i never had any issues, but after 150k istarted to get issues with my tranny and rear differential. so today i bid farewell to my GT for my new toy.

07 Subaru Imprezza WRX wagon. black exterior black/titanium interior manual. AWD 2.5L turbo 4 boxer engine. its really neat. with a little suspension work its going to be scary in the turns and with just a couple grand i can get 350 to the wheels....

so, sorry to say goodbye, but mytime with the GT isdone. i do have parts for sale. myentireintake... plenum, TB and CAI :)

boring.

my buddy has a couple grand in his 06 WRX and its just eh. 20g turbo, cobb port with a tune done by gruppe-s, injectors and pump, all the boltons, the top mount thats above the stock STi one in terms of size and rating, couple other things. put down 276 to the wheels at around 18psi, which is the most the tuner guy was willing to push, guess the wrx motors arent as good as the sti, which even then the stock sti powerplant can only do a bit under 400 before it grenades.

though his exhaust is probably the best sounding exhaust ive ever heard. the car feels very well put together, the interior is stout and the car handles decent, its no cobra or evo mr, but its alot better than a standard GT. then again you bought a waggon, so.......

i love the WRX so far, just a very solid feeling car. I got the wagon because i liked the look a lot better... shocked me that every time i was driving the sedan i kept looking at the wagon next to it when i parked. it has more room, usable space for storage, and just something about it just tickles me... i just had to have the wagon... i still really dont know why, and its almost a disgrace looknig at it just going from the GT to the wagon... but i honestly have zero regrets. that and what would someone say when they get smoked by a wagon? only 120 lbs more then the sedan.

San.. yeah i did a ton of work to the suspension but in the end i really just hated that the GT was falling apart, i know my tranny was going, clutch was overly worn, and my differential was slipping for over 20k miles. the only good stuff on the GT was what i put on and the engine. I'll tell ya this though, i am going to take my suspension knowlege over to the Subbie camp and see if i cant make the WRX a lil demon in the turns. overall feel is awesome, very planted and stable in hard turns, just need some stiffer springs, slightly more dampening, and some really thick swaybars. going to put it up on ramps this weekend and see where all the weak points of the suspension are and start replacing bushings with heims.... My E-mail is still valid, and i still know a lot about the suspension of the GT, always willing to answer questions and work with you about ideas. :)

Dragon plenum with matching 75mm TB and i have a full fender Demolet CAI. awesome lil combo.
