BOTH!!!!
BUT you have to be extremely careful removing the nuts from the header bolts because if you strip ONE bolt you need a whole new header bolt ($250 minimum)
Yeah? Tell that to Tom Dugan at Dugan racing, a MUSTANG shop, that did it to my Cobra when I got them to install an hpipe! Safe to say I never gave him another penny of my business after that blunder...If you don't know what you are doing it is VERY easy to screw up - so if you call it BS then clarify why - because I guarantee you that unless you are a professional mechanic with the right tools you run the RISK of doing it - I know of three other mustangs that had the same problems when doing an exhaust swap in your driveway. Yes you can bolt the exhuast up once you strip it, but that annoying exhaust leak will haunt you for as long as you own the car, unless you get it fixed - sink a new header bolt onto the header. If you call bs give an explanation because so far I have four examples of how EASY it is to do.

NO header bolts are also located at the collector- or maybe you glue your mid pipes to the headers? - if so then good luck, because last time I did exhuast work there are TWO bolts at the collector on each side and if you strip one of them getting the nut off then you need a NEW bolt...how else would you "bolt" your exhuast up to the headers???
When I sheared off my stud, I asked the question in Tech, and someone said that they did the same, and got it fixed for $50. Where are people going if they're paying $250? There is no way I'll pay $250 for a frickin new stud.
