Rear Lowering Kits

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this kit or ones like it. How do they work? I am sorry for the dumb questions but I am looking to improve the handling of my Mustang and this fits right into the budget. Thanks so much in advance for the information. Thanks again, Kyle.

These work fine for normal street, moderate corner-carving activities. The downside is that the block creates a lever arm (albeit short) between the spring and the axle. Under heavy acceleration (drag racing), this can accentuate wheel hop. This doesn't happen under normal circumstances. I use a solid 1" aluminum block on my car with absolutely no ill effects. BTW, I have never been able to find solid blocks - mine were on the car when I bought it. I have since upgraded the rear springs, shackles, & shocks, but kept the blocks because they provide the ideal ride height for my setup.

So do they really lower the car an inch, or just offer more rigidity? Thank you for all the info

The blocks will really lower the car but you should look at NPD for the blocks. They are only $29 bucks there.

Here is the kit I went w/ from Mustang's Unlimited and the blocks are solid, the price was $52 I believe when I got mine a few years ago, they have worked great no issues.

It's good to know where the solid blocks can be had. I have heard of the non-solid ones cracking under hard use.
