Roush Time for a New Transmission - Any Suggestions?

I knew the day was coming, it just came sooner than I expected.

My stock tranny of the '05 is going south (input shaft is thrashed) and I'm not sure what I should get and from where I should purchase from. The power at the wheels is at around 560hp and 507tq and I expect those numbers to go up by about 100-150 within the next year. I rarely visit the drag strip but do plenty of canyon driving at high speed.

Suggestions??

Thanks for the advice/help.

I would do the Viper T-56 you should never have worry about it again, D & D is supposed to be the place to go, they sell a package because if you go this route you need to change a few things. http://www.ddperformance.com/

After reading your sig and the HP you are putting out I would definitely do the T-56.

+1 with D&D. I have heard good things though I have never used them before. go with the Viper spec 6 speed for sure. All you will need to do is have your tuner adjust for the speedo.

Billy. How many miles on your car? I want to know how long a stock tranni will stand up to 550 rwhp.

Marcus,

I believe the speedo reads around 12k miles and I installed the blower at 1.5k miles. I drive fast and have fun but I have never abused the drivetrain, speedshifted once, and other than that I'm very gentle mechanically on the car. I'm a little suprised it took so little time to go bad. Who knows though, this problem may have originated when my rearend locked up at high speed and I was forced to replace my clutch, flywheeel, and R&P. My car locked up so hard that the pinion was bent about 10-15 degrees and the flywheel had no teeth left........and the clutch, well, didn't look like a clutch anymore....

What about the tranny out of a new Shelby Cobra? Might that fit any better or easier?
