IDK what that ring is for. Throw it away.

The holes are for the factory bracket that holds the MAF solid from underneath. Maybe yours is missing or laying under your old MAF.

I didn't use the bracket once I removed it. Just annoying.

I just tightend the clamps and keep and eye on mine. The new setup keeps coming loose though...

IIRC the bracket thing can be bought sep.

Just looked at the C&L site...the 94-95 "kit" now has some kind of platic airbox that the maf mounts too and shields the filter from hot air...they prob. use the same casting but assume your running the plastic box thing.

i believe the o-ring goes in between the electronics of the meter and the housing...it seals the electronics on the insinde of the sample tube

....mine is a lot bigger then that... the rubber ends where it slides onto the tb and maf it just fits inside them....its exactly like them too just a hair smaller and about half the lenght.....im thinking it might go on the tb since its a lot smaller.

so was i supposta get a bracket?? did i get shorted?

trav you dont need the bracket. Every stang ive owned that bracket has been tossed, if you really want one I have a pile of 5 or 6 you can help yourself to one.
I didnt even use their pipe set up and just fabbed my own. With my new P-mas it just sits in the fender well, no bracket either.

the ring you are talking about goes on the throttle body to help make you for the mis-match in size. it goes inside of the other silicone band that connects the inlet pipe to the throttle body.
