Lost License/Car Storage?

I have lost my license for 4 months, and will not be driving the Vette for the next 5-6months. I have been driving it on and off through these winter months on the rare nice days, so I never gave this much thought.

Would it be ok to let my car sit for the 5-6months I won't be driving it? I may be moving it across my apartment complex now and again to wash it, but that's about all the driving it'll see.

What kind of complications might I see with the car sitting for this period of time?

The vette will be fine. Just start it up once in a while and idle all the crap out of the engine and exhaust. A lot of moisture builds up in the exhaust, etc. I used to store my mustang for six months or so, every winter. It was outside the whole time and was started once a week. When I was up in Portland to visit, I would take it for a spin. Otherwise, it just sat. I never had interior moisture issues with the car, or anything else related to storage.
I'll be storing my mustang in about four months. This time, it will sit for a year.

I'd say move it periodically to rotate the tires. But even if you don't it would probably be fine. My Mustang sat in the garage for a couple of years without any ill effects -- tires okay, gasoline okay. It was very dusty but after I washed it, it was just as it was when I put it into storage.

Top it off. For a six month storage I wouldn't bother with stabilizer.

I have not had any problems with mine from not being used other than a dead battery. Rootus is right top it off and start it every two weeks. Run it for at least 5-10 minutes and you will be fine. It would not hurt to change the oil when you are ready to run it again.

fill your tank and add SEA FOAM at 1oz per gallon of fuel, its the stuff and no bs your car will run better after it cleans the fuel system and rings a little, do a google on it and read up, stuff is really good.

I'll be more than glad to keep your car broken in during the freeze on your license...

I think it will be safe tho if you just start it here and there to keep the fluids moving. Perhaps take it around the block so you can somewhat keep your sanity.

I left mine for 9 months in '05 and 5 months this yr. Did not start it once during those times. Disconnect the battery, fill the gas tank, and add something to your gas like an octane booster or what smoke'm mentioned. It will help to keep mositure from getting in your fuel. Also, cover the car if possible and that includes your exhaust tips! My garage is heated so this certainly helps.

Cant remember for sure, but I think WaterPog mentioned a story to me once regarding rats or something got into one of the exhaust pipes on his buddies ride that caused all kinds of problems.
