Hello,

I might purchase a wrecked 95 cobra, but what I can I use besides the motor for my 65 fastback? Will the 5 speed tranny, wiring, computer fit or be any good use for it.

Brakes and rear end will be used.

My main concern is the tranny and wiring, any help/feed back will be greatly appreciated. :flag:

If the car has a T5 tranny the input shaft is approximately 3/4" longer (than the <93) not 2". In my 68 I had to cut the shifter opening further back but the end result is much better from the drivers seat than stock.

I would keep the entire drivetrain, brakes, wiring, computer, and if they are in good shape the front seats.

I used a 95 GT for my donor. If you want to swap the enigine into your car the only things you need to change are, the oil pan, the headers, and the timing cover so you can move the dipstick.

I've got a '95 T-5 in my '65 coupe and the shifter lines up just about perfectly with the factory cutout - better than an '87-93 T-5 by some accounts. I didn't have to trim the cutout, while most Fox T-5 swaps do.

The booster can be used if the car is an auto. If you plan on running a manual and a cable/hydraulic clutch the 95 booster is too large. A fox booster will fit and they are pretty cheap from the parts store.
