I decided that my daily driver 06 Mazda 3 was getting kind of boring. Went to Carmax this morning and bought this:

It's an 04 GT, sonic blue, black leather, 5spd. Looks like it has a cat-back (guessing either magnaflow or flowmaster) and a shifter (possibly MGW? doesn't feel like triax or pro 5.0 at all).

29k miles.

I'll keep this car pretty stock since it's my driver and i'll do everything to my 89GT.

Nice job...funny I just traded in my wifes 04 vert today....15,000 on the clock for a new freestyle...don't know if I'm happy or sad just yet, the freestyle is definately a step up in comfort and features but definately not a stang.

Nice but, not the best daily driver for gas prices. I have a 97 clitaurus but, I really want a jeep or a small truck. I'm not sure if a jeep would be sufficient to pull my car if needed. My car being a 89 silver coupe.

Yeah i'm going from about 34mpg to probably 25-26. Even with all of the miles I drive the difference is only like 500$ a year, not really a killer. I think it's worth it to have a car that's more fun to drive every day

Is there anyway to tell what type of shifter this is?

Damn ... beat me to it. :)

Nice wheels. I'd rock that for my beast and use the Fox for a DD ... but then again, my notch is a beat-to-death wreck by comparison, so that's just me. Looks a lot like my buddy's '04 Mach 1. I LOVE that color on the '99-'04 models. :nice:

not to be mean but if the freestyle gets to be within 20k when you own it youre gonna be sad when you have to replace the rear brakes on it already. The freestyle/500/montego has a really bad problem with the rear brakes. The pads wear down so much and the rotors are not cutable. So if you get work done at the dealership(since the pads and rotors arent available at the parts store yet) youre gonna hate that you have to spend 400 for rear brakes. Unfortunately Fords warranty for brakes is 1 year 12k.

But on a better note thats a sweet daily driver. Sure beats mine :SNSign:
