BOTTLFED...Taking on a new look (Under the Hood)

UPDATE:

I just got back from 2 hour 'break'. LOL. During that 2 hour break, I wiped down, vacuumed up and taped off anything that needed to be masked. The color is going on it tonight. :D WOO HOO!!!

Then.....Reassembly. UGHHHH!

So far, though, even with it in primer and masking paper, it's looking good. ;)

I hope I'm not talking it up too much, and it end up being a flop. :)

I just got back from spraying the bay. No pics though, cause I have to RE-SAND ALL OF IT!!!! :nonono: That's right. It turns out the primer reacted with the paint. Although, I'm sure that it was the same brand I used last time.
Little disappointed at this point. However, it's not as though I'll be driving it tomorrow, anyway. :)
I'll keep you posted. :bang:

Same thing with me too man, but I had the whole car done and primed and was not happy so stripped it all down and re-did it. Should have the money for a new hood in a month or so, and that completes the car for this year, drop the engine in and get it out on the road for the first time in 3 years.

Quick update......

Just got the Power Pipe back from my powder coater. It turned out great. Eventually, it's still going to get chromed (this summer). But, this was free and it looks great. Lots of minor things left to do, at this point. Littleby little, it's getting done. :D

I also machined of all of the 'cooling fins' on my intake 'end plate' and cut, machined and polished a much smoother looking cap.

I still have to paint and polish several things. For example the MSD distributor is being treated to a bit of calypso green as well as the smooth cowl grill, etc....
slowly. But, surely....It's starting to take shape.
