Recently got a 2002 Mustang GT, Vortech supercharged. The car is running perfectly fine. But after WOT runs, there is a sweet burning smell, sort of rubbery. Its a very distinctive smell. It doesnt smell like oil or gasoline and its not coming out of the exhaust.

If its the coolant or radiator, are there any tell tale signs to look for? Coolant level has dropped a little. Dried coolant looks white too? Any other advice?

Is there any tell-tale sign that it is the belt? Check the belt tensioner, anything else?
Hard to determine since it could be a number of things. Clutch slippage has a very pungent odor. I'm guessing you would know that one. Antifreeze, to me, has a sort of sweet smell unlike burning rubber which is why a suggested the belt. Just inspect it closely and see if it is worn or frayed.

To me, burning rubber (a belt) does not smell sweet. Because you said you lost coolant, I believe you have a coolant leak some where. Maybe a small radiator leak or water pump. look for any white smoke under the hood.

Meh, there are always strange smells in the garage after I park my Mustangs...

Keep an eye on the coolant level, if it continues to drop you may have a problem.

Alright, I'll keep an eye on the coolant level.

Also, I picked up codes P0190 (FRP Sensor Low). I reset the tune (A/F ratio was all over the map as well) and its sitting constant now. But after resetting it, I get the code P1233 now (Fuel Pump Driver Module off-line), P0190 is no longer being brought up. I took out the electric fan and fuel pump fuses to upload the tune. The car starts and runs fine but the Service Engine Soon light is on.

Any opinions?

Every car i have owned, after beating the hell out of it or even after a bunch of WOT sessions, always stinks of some sort of burning smell. I have no idea what the hell that is, but just figured it was normal. Even our Lexus SUV had the burning smell going on after i was driving it hard.

i know when i pull into the garage at night i get a wierd sweet smell if ive driven hard, kinda smells like sulfur, i just always thought it was normal, ironicly I usually drive the lexus SUV also, but the mustang does that to.

The butt smell is from all the crap in your Cats that is evenutally coming out the exhaust.

Clutch, coolant and belt/tire smells are very much noticeable to me at least.

Just some suggestions.
