I have always heard high compression is a poor man's way of getting high HP. I was thinking of building a 355. Can anyone tell me what to expect with these components.

355 shortblock(12.5.1cr)
Ported Victor Jr. heads(60cc, 210cc, 75cc before the p/p)
1.72 Scorpion rockers
TFS stage II cam(.583/.605 with 1.72 rocker, 224°/232°@.050)
Performer RPM II intake manifold ported
42# injectors
Trick Flow pushrods

How much would this combo produce? How much would the same combo with a 9.5.1cr produce?

Not sure on the HP but I think you need more cam for that compression and heads. Something in the 240-250 @.050 range minimum with a 110 deg LSA. With the relatively short timing on the one you specd it seems low RMP cylinder pressure would be rather large.

LSA is 120, and I dont want to go bigger on the cam. Since the car will be driven on a daily basis.
