Before I install my longtubes, I was wondering which gasket to use, the stock original or the supplied gasket with the headers?
Any other hints would also be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

i got perceys seal for good's on my 02 gt. the lt's are goin on tomorrow, but the gaskets are top quaility, reusable, and will NEVER blow out. plus they conform to warped flangers (tho we hope that never happens). get some #'s up after, im curious for my dad. (see other thread)

i used the stock steel gaskets since i did the same on my 99 lightning about 6 years ago and still no leaks.shouldnt take over 6 hours if you have done this before.

As others said, the stock gasket should be fine. But while you're in there, I'd recommend getting a set of locking header bolts, to keep the bolts from backing out. There are many different kits and styles out there, just choose one that will prevent the bolts from moving. There are few things more annoying than having to tighten your header bolts every couple of months.

At the very least, use some thread locker on the bolts. Leaky headers are no fun. Granted, you may only have to tighten them once or twice after the install, but personally for me, I'd rather get the locking bolts and not have to every worry about it.
