Axle Back Exhaust!

Hey guys I was wondering what the best exhaust would be condsidering everything else is stock. Im not looking for to much sound in the car. I use to have 1 chamber flows on my 95 GT and it was way to much. Im looking for an aggressive sound. I was looking at the Pypes exhaust which was decently priced. I also was looking at the flowmasters and JBA which are costly. What do you guess suggest. Best sound for a decent price.

Before I bought my system I was looking heavily at the Flowmaster and the pypes. I've had flows on previous vehicles and they sound great, pypes were looking real good because of the price.

I found a great deal on my gibsons and couldn't pass it up.

I've heard the flows, they sound great in person. Don't let the sound clips fool you. The gibsons sound very close to the flows, a little smoother IMHO.

I have the Flowmaster American Thunder on my stang and they sound great. My car is otherwise stock, but the exhaust is nice and aggressive but yet on the highway in 5th gear the exhaust is quit as a mouse...(no drone what-so-ever). Overall, I have been very impressed with them.

I also have SLP Loudmouths and they are awesome! Haven't had a ticket yet, and I live in New York State! Easy to install and the fit is very good. They look the best out the back and I have had many compliments on them. If you want the sound of the old street cars then SLP's are for you.

Im looking to put axle back on my 06 GT stock exhaust. I want a nice aggressive sound but not to much drone in the car. I was looking at the ford racing axle back ($279.95) used on the new 07 Shelby mustangs. I also was looking at the Pypes axle back ($198.77). Any suggestions and note that I dont want to spend so much so I was looking at the most decent priced.

Love my Flowmaster set for my 06. Very little drone (only when I lug in traffic when I leave my OD on) and quite good on the highway. Good roar to them, I am quite happy. And price wise they are great, you can get them between $260 and $300 in most spots. I paid $330cdn for them at a local speed shop.

Easy as pie to install, just make sure the brackets are installed properly, if you get a set send me a PM and I'll forward you the info I used that worked great.

Second the Flowmaster kit also. Very deep sound and little drone. Its quiet at cruise but when you get on it, it really opens up. Bought mine for $400 plus install but that was about a year ago. They seem to be much cheaper now. However I do have a CAI/Tune so that does change the sound a bit compared to it being on a completely stock car.

Throw 4.10s and an O/R H pipe on there and it is no longer quiet at cruising speed...infact the only time it's quiet now is when the car is not running. I LOVE IT:D :D :D

I also have the FRPP GTA axel backs that come standard on the Shelby. I love them. The car is my daily driver and I did not want to go too aggressive, but wanted more burble. Definitely worth it to me. The C&L intake added a bit of pop to it as well. No drone either, just nice American V8 modern muscle sound, plus the large tips look pretty sweet. I think that all baffled mufflers will sound pretty close to each other, just slight differences under WOT. The big difference will be the SLP loud mouths or any straight through glasspack "muffler."

Check out Ninosport.com as they have most of the mufflers with sound clips.

since these two threads were on the same topic, i merged them for you.

4.10's are next on my list. They did well with my 5.0, and this new mustang would definately be much better. Gotta wait on the off road h because I have a 5 year warranty with 4 years left! Hows the gas mileage with the 4.10's? Any traction issues?
