I am looking on RPMOutlet.com on getting the Ford Racing or the Motive Gear 4.10 with the Posi Trac from RPM as well, then there is some extra things below...

They write about some Master Install Kit for like 100$, do I need this if I send the car and the gears to a shop to get it installed?
Also they have something for like 40$, called a Modified Crossmember or something, for the posi, do I need this when i buy the Posi-Trac and send it to the shop?
Last thing, they write about some friction mod. oil, or something of that matter, is this also something I need?

How much does the 4.10 and Posi usually cost to get installed, I'm from Bellevue, WA any estimates will help, as I'm saving up for the install...

Thanks a lot,
Casper

First off a "posi trac" is for Chevy's (GM), t-lock is Ford. You can either buy all the parts and have a shop install them or let the shop supply them. Basicly it's bearings, races, crush sleeve and shims. The bearings alone are about $50.00, if you get the install kit all the shims and every thing needed will be in it so I would get it. Yes you do need friction modifier and I would run synthetic gear oil made for a t-lock. Installing these is not cheap because it takes time to install gears and a t-lock so labor depends on shop rates where you live but figure about 4 hours labor.

Thanks, do you know anything about the modified cross member for 40$ that they have? What is it for? Do I need it?

For the synthetic oil for the t-loc, would Royal Purple Max Gear 75w90 Gear Oil work from MustangTuning aka. AmericanMuscle? And how much do I need to buy?

Do you have a link for the cross member? If you are talking about a braced diff cover then yes it will make the rear end a little stronger. I would get the synthetic gear oil myself, it's #01300. Dyno test have shown a 10 hp gain at the rear wheels with all synthetic fluids. You'll need 2 qts plus the friction modifier.

I saw the modified cross shaft and I wouldn't get it. You'll be better off spending the extra money on the braced diff cover. The weekness of the 7.5 is the spider gears, not the shaft.

FMS-M-19666A is the item number from rpmoutlet.com (http://rpmoutlet.com/musv6forddyno.htm) scroll down and after it says the 4.10 and 3.73, you will see the cross shaft.

The synthetic gear oil you are talkin bout is that the same as I was talkin bout? cuz the number #01300, doesn't mean anything to me...?

This is my shopping list for the T-Loc and 4.10 (Correct me if i'm wrong if items need to be added, please)
¤ Motive Gear 4.10 Ring + Pinion - $150 (RPMOutlet)
¤ Ford Racing T-Loc - $190 (RPMOutlet)
¤ 4 oz. Friction Modifier for T-Loc - $15 (RPMOutlet)
¤ Motive Bearing Install Kit - $75 (American Muscle)
¤ 2 Quarts of Royal Purple Max Gear 75w90 Gear Oil - $9/Quart (American Muscle)

Now for the Braced Differential Cover that you mentioned raz, where can I get that, or is this what you are talking about -> http://rpmoutlet.com/musv6rockers.htm It's called "TA Performance Products Rear End Girdle" - $160?
Should I add that and "Bearing Cap Std Kit" - $25... to my list?

Thanks for all your help Raz!

I think it's the same gear oil. You might check out Chip's V6 before you order. I paid $200.00 for my t-lock and friction modifier and that included shipping from them. He also sells gear sets. You're going to love the t-lock. The best mod I've done so far was that. Yep, that's the girdle I was talking about. I haven't got one yet but soon will.
