I saw that show, If i remember correctly the boss 429 out performed them all.

I saw it too and the Boss 9 Stang won the competition in a best of 5 events, I'll never forget Peter's words at the end. I quote "Anyone who says a Boss 429 won't run, that's Bull$*%@!!". It bested Chebby's Holy Grail the LS6 Chevelle in both the 1/4 and 0-60, I believe it did pretty good in the saloam as well..

yeah it was either 1st or 2nd in the slalom, IIRC, that's damn impressive for nose heavy pig like the boss '9, compared to something like a boss 302 or even a boss 351.

I maybe a little biased myself...BUT...is anyone going to tell me a BOSS 302 Mustang is not a muscle car?...my car has won many trophies in muscle car categories, beating out a GTO, a big block camero, a vette, and even a cloned HEMI Challenger..

I don't condone freeway or street racing...BUT...well never mind...you guys who know B2 cars know what kind of power they have. Never met a 350 Camero i couldn't beat...yet..

This topic is old, and its trite. I really don't need to prove anything anymore. The facts are already in.

Really, all you have to do is go to any book store and look for Muscle Car books, which car is shown on the cover the most? A Mustang........ that right there says it all

I maybe a little biased myself...BUT...is anyone going to tell me a BOSS 302 Mustang is not a muscle car?...my car has won many trophies in muscle car categories, beating out a GTO, a big block camero, a vette, and even a cloned HEMI Challenger..

LOL...if they let a sportcar like a 'Vette into the Muscle Car class, of course a pony car like a Boss 302 is gonna be in the same class.

I really think it just depends on how technical you want to get. A Mustang, Camaro, or Firebird is a pony car. A Corvette or Cobra is a sportscar.

I'm sure if you're writing a book about '60's performance cars, it's probably easier to include a Mustang or Cobra in a book titled "Muscle cars" than it would be to include a Olds 4-4-2 in a book called Pony cars, or a 427 Galaxie in a book called "sportscars."
The same goes for a car show. Most shows never have a "pony car" class, cause most people don't know how to define the term, much less which cars should be in the class. So it's more logical to stick the pony cars in the "Muscle Car" class than into the "Import Tuner" or "Modified Truck" class.

None of this means that the Mustang is no longer a Pony car....Especially if it handles well...like a Boss 302.
