Hey, I'm new to this site and totally new to posting on forums...everyone has to start sometime I guess!
I am looking for info/opinions on 5.0L head/cam combinations. I have a 95 cobra and I am looking to upgrade. I am leaning toward a pair of twisted wedge heads with 2.02/1.60 valves, and a ford b-cam. It needs to be drivable, but I don't care about gas milage...I want the most power I can get and, of course, A nice lopey idle. Any suggestions? Also what else needs to be upgraded when a new cam and heads are installed? The cobras already have a 65mm throtle body and 24lb injectors, what else might I need?

Thanks so much!!!!!

that would likely work well, given that you have the cobra 1.7 rockers. you may even get by wit the the tfs stage one cam. i have that cam and head combo with 1.6 rockers and it's sounds deadly, and goes good too. if you opt for the trickflow cam you will have to check piston to valve clearance.

That'd work too.

I just think that heads, cam and intake should be matched. One by itself doesn't do much, and can even hurt performance. But when the combo is matched, it's a beautiful thing...

Holy cow GT_Rich...No kidding exact combo! I was kinda planning on TW heads, a B-303, 1.7 RR's, my stock cobra intake, 24lb injectors, and some headers. You have absolutely got to tell me how you like it and what you dyno results are!!!!!!!!
