I'm sorry to post without pictures, but I have seen it on this board before. Can you not just flip them? Or are you changing the rear end?

With a good set of upper and lower control arms you can just ditch the quads all together

They may be worthless to some, but they sure make a difference on my 100% stock car. I was still running my stock ones with a good 270,000 miles on them when I replaced my LCAs with Maximum Motorsports ones and replaced the upper bushings with poly bushings and new Ford rubber housing side bushings. I didn't put the quads back on since they were leaking all over the place, and I got quite a bit of wheel hop. Never had it before. I have to get some new quads now.

As for relocating them, the only thing I've seen and done is flipping them so the shock shaft is pointing to the rear of the car, giving you a bit more clearance for wider wheels and tires.

With drag radials, you can ditch the quads all together. I took them off my 93 and didn't even notice they were gone, even with street tires. But, like others have said, just flip them around. Still serve the same purpose but it gives you a little extra room for some wider meats.

My buddy has Steeda upper and lower, adjustable control arms with solid bushings, drag shocks and springs, and full length subframe connectors. With the quads removed he would cut 1.8 60' with a lot of wheel hop on his 28" slicks. When he put the quads back on, he went to cutting 1.6 60' with no wheel hop.

Food for thought.

Flip them, you gain about another 1/2 inch of clearance.

KEEP THEM. my brother died last month due to wheel hop on the highway because of no quad shocks. His shocks were crappy too but having quad shocks would have helped him.

here's what happens when you experience wheel hop at 80mph.

damn man real sorry to hear about your brother how old are you and how old was he? I ask because I have a little brother who looks up to me as well and I couldnt imagine being in the situation you are in.

that link was to the story and video of my brothers crash. he was 24 years old...i'm 22. His wreck just happened this past March 13. his car was an 86 t top converted to 93 cobra specs....BEAUTIFUL car. kinda hard to tell now. He had just gotten off work and was following behind his boss leaving the job site they were just at (he installed sprinkler systems in business') and he went out to go around his boss, car started wheel hopping really bad and swung out from underneath him, went into opposing traffic and was hit on the driver side by a ford f350 pulling a 40' flat bed.
