Ok, so i want to convert my Headlights and foglights to HIDs.

So im browsing through ebay, and there are tons of different kits. All seem to be in the same similar price bracket for around 160 dollars.

I'm looking for a setup with high and low beams for my headlights. I'm planning on going with the 6000K output. I found this one in particular.

For the foglights im planning on going with a 3000K output.

Anybody have some advice about the HID kits on ebay. Are there "good" kits vs "bad" kits and how can i differentiate between the two?

Any kit that you put in a stock halogen headlamp is a bad kit.

You really need to convert to projectors or retrofit OEM HID projectors into your headlights and use a quality ballst like Hella or Bosch and quality true HID bulbs.

bad is a relative word. i really like my HID setup. its just the "drop in" 6k kit. yeah, it doesnt have the cool cutoff line like the factory systems, and i dont have highs, but i really like the brightness and spread of mine. 10x better than stock. im amazed every time i get in another car at night

Yea i realize the stock halogen housings arent great for HIDs. Im looking into doing a conversion on the stock headlights.

I was just trying to figure out what kit would be a "good" kit to pick up that actually IS what it says it is. I know there are alot of bum kits on there, and i dont want to go wasting my time and money.
Im planning on a 6K kit for the headlights and a 3K kit for the fogs.
